Special Event Calendar

Celebrate our 40th birthday with AFC owner families.  To help us celebrate our big year, and the UN designated International Year of Cooperatives, we’ve invited Twin Pines Cooperative Foundation President and cooperative historian David Thompson to be our keynote speaker.  He’ll talk about the cooperative movement on a local to global scale.

Part of our event will give you an opportunity to meet this year’s board candidates, as well as hear short reports from our Board and General Manager.  Local bluegrass band Eight Dollar Mountain will open and close the festivities.  A special birthday raffle is planned.

We encourage all owners to attend this event, whether you bring your own dinner or take part in our meal service.  You may purchase and pick up meal tickets for your family at the Info Desk or reserve them by phone and pick them up and pay at the Desk up until 4pm Sunday, June 24.  No food tickets will be available at the event.  There are 350 food tickets available for a $3 donation per person ages 12 and up on a first come first serve basis.

The Omnivore ticket gets you some great BBQ chicken and the Vegan/Veggie ticket gets you a tempeh main dish.  Everyone will select from an array of side dishes from our own Deli including one vegan and one gluten free option.  If you have other dietary restrictions, please bring your own picnic.  Remember, bring your own eating ware to this Zero Waste event!
