Join Medford Food Co-op's Board Member and plant-based cuisine expert, Fran Batzer, as she demonstrates the JOY of layering flavors, textures and colors with seasonal whole food plant-based (WFPB) recipes. Learn tips on how to make simple whole food ingredients pop with flavor while not adding refined sugars, oil or salt. Fran will share recipes for Low Calorie and Nutrient Dense Smoothies, Monk Bowls, and a special dessert. The entire menu is vegan, gluten-free, and delicious.

Fran was born and raised in Southern Oregon and is a Medford Food Co-op board member. Her plant-based lifestyle started over 7 years ago while in search of a way to lower her cholesterol and to lose weight naturally. Since finding a WFPB (whole food, plant-based) lifestyle she has become certified as a Holistic Health Coach through Integrative Nutrition, a certified Gerson Healing Therapy Home Set-up trainer, a Vegan Fusion Culinary Teacher, a PlantPure Pod leader, and a Pampered Chef consultant. Fran is a wife, mom of 4 and grandmother of 2 that loves to cook plant-based for her family and friends. When Fran is not in her kitchen or teaching in someone else’s kitchen she loves to travel, scuba dive, and paint watercolor. Fran is currently studying Plant-based Nutrition through eCornell.
